/♥// Moonlit Canopy Night
Pint-sized hooves of the delicate golden mare crumpled the sheet of leaves from beneath them, cream locks flapping against her well-muscled crane. Caylee sunk deeper in her parka as she ice-cold wind stung her face. She cooed a whoa as the path opened up into a wide lane, a canopy of trees providing a cieling for the pair. Caylee smiled, remembering the cattle drive up here. It had been difficult, but she had gotten a few of her old friends to get on and help her drive the enormous herd of longhorns down here. She had taken the ornery mare, Zanolena down for the drive and ponied young Navajo while her friends took care of Cowboy, Dreamscape, and Milani Zikos.
Caylee slipped from Dream's back, undoing the cinch and breastplate and laying them on the ground beneath the night sky. She pulled herself back onto the small golden mare's back and dropped the reins on her whithers, her slender back dropping to the hindquarters of the horse. Her head nestled on the rounded part of her rump, blonde tressles lining the mare. She smiled, eying the night sky. She and her father used to come down some nights at midnight to the open fields and stare up at the stars and just talk. She missed those starlit nights, where the only way to see two feet in front of you was the luminous glow of the crescent moon and the speckles of stars. [/size]
